So, What Exactly Is The Annual Meeting?
If you’ve never been to a TVEC Annual Meeting, you might see the word meeting and immediately think, “That’s probably not for me.”
We get it.
But TVEC’s Annual Meeting isn’t about asking you to sit through hours of reports, charts and complicated electric utility talk. It’s about bringing our members together, having a little fun and giving you a better look at the cooperative you are a member of.
So, what exactly happens at Annual Meeting? Let’s break it down.
First Things First: Why Do We Have an Annual Meeting?
Because TVEC is a cooperative.
That means the people who receive electricity from TVEC aren’t just customers. You’re members of the co-op.
Annual Meeting gives us a chance to bring those members together, tell you what’s happening at TVEC, talk about things that could affect your electric service and communities, and most importantly, hear from and connect with you.
That’s really it.
It’s your co-op. We want you to know what’s going on.
Do I Need to Be a Co-op Expert?
Not at all. That’s part of why we’re inviting you.
Annual Meeting is for every TVEC member, whether you’ve been with the cooperative for decades or you’re still figuring out exactly what it means to be a member of an electric cooperative.
This is your opportunity to hear directly from TVEC leadership, learn more about what’s happening across the cooperative and our service area, and better understand some of the issues that could affect the communities we serve.
This year, we’ll also bring together a panel of industry leaders and local voices for a conversation about what they’re seeing, what’s changing and why it matters here at home.
We’ll keep it straightforward and relevant. No homework. No co-op expertise required. Just come ready to be part of the conversation.
After all, TVEC is your cooperative. Annual Meeting is one of the ways we get to be Here. For You.
Okay, But What’s in It for Me?
We’re glad you asked.
There’s a lot happening before the actual meeting even begins.
Dinner is on us. Bring your appetite because we’re supplying dinner!
There are prizes. Lots of them. We’ll have raffle prizes up for grabs throughout the evening, plus you’ll want to stick around until the end for the grand prizes.
You’ll get a goody bag. Because what would Annual Meeting be without a little TVEC swag?
You can meet the people behind your co-op. TVEC employees from across the cooperative will be there. Stop by the booths, ask questions, learn about programs and services or simply put a face to the people who serve you.
You can even score a special podcast prize. Find Consider It Hot, TVEC’s podcast, on your favorite podcast platform, follow us and stop by our podcast booth for a chance at a special prize!
What About Parking?
We’ve thought about that, too.
When you arrive at the Canton Civic Center, look for TVEC employees and our courtesy carts in the parking lot. We’ll pick you up near your vehicle and give you a ride right to the entrance.
When it’s time to leave, we’ll be there to help get you back to the parking lot, too.
We want to make getting in, getting around and enjoying your evening as easy as possible.

Annual Meeting is about more than electric service. It’s about the communities we all call home, and we want the evening to feel like a gathering of our cooperative family.

Canton Civic Center
5:15 p.m. | Doors Open
Check in, find your seat and enjoy the activities before dinner.
6 p.m. | Dinner
Dinner is on us! Grab a plate, visit with your fellow members and get settled in before the meeting begins.
7 p.m. | Annual Meeting
This is where we take care of the official business of your cooperative. You’ll hear updates from TVEC leadership, get a look at the cooperative’s financial standing, hear the results of the Board of Directors election and have an opportunity for cooperative business.
In Simple Terms…
We’ll tell you where TVEC stands, what’s been happening and what you should know as a member.
Give yourself time to settle in.
There’s plenty to see and do before the meeting, so give yourself enough time to check in, grab your goody bag, visit the booths, take part in the activities and enjoy dinner before 7 p.m.
Then, find your seat and get comfortable. At 7 p.m., we’ll get the official meeting started and spend some time talking about your cooperative, what’s happening across our service territory and what it means for the members and communities we serve.
And don’t head out too soon! There are a few official items we’re required to take care of along the way, but we’ll keep things moving. And be sure to stay through the end because we’ll wrap up the evening with our grand prize drawings!

TVEC offices will close early at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, as our team prepares to welcome members to Annual Meeting that evening.

Annual Meeting and the TVEC Board of Directors Election go hand in hand. As a member-owned cooperative, TVEC’s directors are elected by you, our members, and the official 2026 election results will be announced during Annual Meeting on October 8.
Voting is already underway and eligible members can cast their ballot online or by mail through October 6. Paper ballots and instructions were included with the September issue of Texas Co-op Power, while members with an email address on file received information for voting online.
