Outage Information

This outage was restored just after 12:45 p.m.   11:30 a.m. – TVEC crews are responding to a large outage affecting about 1,200 members in an area along Interstate 20, from near College Mound to areas south of Wills Point. Updates regarding this outage will be made

8:50 p.m. – Power has been restored to the 1,100 members. 6:35 p.m. Crews are responding to an outage affecting approximately 1,100 members in the Jiba-Scurry area. The cause is unknown at this time.

8:00 p.m. – Great work by our crews and contract crews as the power has now been restored to the remaining members. There are a few small outlying outages and crews are completing their restoration processes. 6:00 p.m. Crews are making progress as power has been restored

Crews are working to restore power to approximately 1,300 members between Athens and New York. An estimated restoration time is not available and the at this time the cause is unknown.

:30 p.m. – Crews have restored power to more than 3,000 members with about 900 still without electricity this evening. The work will continue until everyone is back on. Across East Texas and particularly closer to the coast major damage has resulted in more than 2 million

12:15 p.m. – This outage has been restored. 10:30 a.m. – Crews are working to repair the lines, restoration is expected by 12:30 p.m. 8:05 a.m. – Power has been restored to about 225 members while repairs are in progress to damaged lines. Crews are working to

4:45 p.m. – This outage has been restored. Problems were found and corrected on both sides of the power delivery point including tree contact on the grid side. We hope this work will improve the reliability of this circuit which has had several outages recently. 2 p.m.

3:50 p.m. – this outage has been restored   3:20 p.m. – The tree has been removed but the issue has also resulted in a disconnect at our connection to the grid through Oncor. Current estimate for restoration is 4:30 p.m. 3 p.m. – TVEC crews are

1:15 p.m. – This outage has been restored. A snake in the substation came into contact with power equipment causing the outage. TVEC substations have anti-snake devices at the perimeter to help prevent system damage and outages but this one managed to get through.   12:47 p.m.

8:30 a.m. – About 350 members remain without power from this morning’s storms, with some storms still active down in Henderson and Anderson counties. Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible, and will get these outages restored. There is also ongoing work to reconnect power

2 a.m. June 4 – About 400 TVEC members remain without power from the evening storms. In southern Van Zandt and northern Henderson counties there are still a large number of single and small-line outages. Line crews and tree trimmers are making steady progress in getting power

10 p.m. – Outages from todays storms are concentrated in the northern part of the TVEC service area, with two large outages north of Wills Point and Terrell and many others scattered out in smaller lines and single outages. Night shift crews are responding to these outages
