One of the things that makes an electric cooperative different is that you aren’t just a customer. You’re a member-owner. As a member-owner, you have a voice in the future of Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative through the annual Board of Directors election.

Voting in the TVEC Board Election is one of the most important ways members participate in the cooperative’s democratic process. By casting your ballot, you’re helping shape the leadership that will guide your cooperative for years to come.

And as an added bonus, every eligible member who votes will be entered for a chance to win a share of $2,000 in cash prizes!

Why Your Vote Matters

Unlike investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives are governed by a board of directors elected by the members they serve. These directors are fellow members from our local communities who help establish policies and provide oversight for the cooperative.

The Board of Directors helps guide decisions involving:

  • Long-term planning
  • Financial stewardship
  • System reliability
  • Cooperative policies
  • Member-focused priorities

Every vote helps ensure strong member participation and supports the cooperative principles that make TVEC unique.

Voting Opens September 8

Beginning September 8, 2026, eligible members will receive information on how to vote.

Please note: While Texas Co-op Power magazines typically arrive during the first week of the month, the September issue will be delivered beginning September 8 to coincide with the official start of the TVEC Board Election. This ensures all members receive their ballots and election information at the same time.

You can vote one of two ways:

Vote Online

If TVEC has your current email address on file, you’ll receive an email from noreply@directvote.net with instructions for voting online.

Vote by Mail

Members will also receive a paper ballot and voting instructions inside the September issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine, along with a postage-paid return envelope.

Please do not return paper ballots to any TVEC office.
