When Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative members choose to participate in Operation Round Up, they turn everyday pocket change into powerful community support. Each month, participating members allow their electric bill to be rounded up to the next whole dollar. The average contribution is about 50 cents per month, or around six-dollars per year, per participating account.

Those small amounts are pooled together through the TVEC Charitable Foundation and returned directly to nonprofit organizations within our service area. Since the program began in 2013, 308 organizations have received support totaling $4,782,476.85. That represents local people helping local people and neighbors taking care of neighbors.

How the program works

  • Each monthly bill is rounded up to the next whole dollar
  • The maximum contribution in a year is $11.88
  • Funds are distributed through the TVEC Charitable Foundation
  • Nonprofits apply for grants and are reviewed by an independent board

Every penny collected stays in our region. No funds are used for TVEC operations. Every dollar goes back to community organizations that provide direct benefits to those right in our backyard.
