February 9 – Log Cabin to Northeast of Athens

Outage Update 12:01 a.m. Power has been restored. If you do not have power, please report your outage at 800-967-9324. 

Thank you for your patience on this cold night while our crews worked safely to get the power back on. 

Outage Update 11:35: crews have had to de-energize an additional circuit in the process of making repairs. Estimated time for restoration is now by 12:30 a.m.  

Outage Update 11:05: Crews repaired the broken part but another problem was found when they attempted to turn things back on. Additional repairs are ongoing! And I will update with a new restoration estimate as soon as we get that information. 

Outage Update: 10:05 p.m. – Crews found a broken insulator that appears to be the problem. Power should be restored by about 10:40 p.m. unless any other problems are found. 

9:25 p.m. – TVEC crews are responding to a large outage affecting more than 1,000 members, extending from Cedar Creek Lake at Log Cabin, to the northeast side of Athens on Hwy. 175. 

Updates regarding cause and restoration time will be made as edits to this post.
