December 31, 2013 – The spring deployment for phase 4 of our advanced metering project will start in March of 2014 and will take place in Northern Henderson county. Kaufman and western Van Zandt counties. Contract crews from Standard Utility Construction Inc. will be installing meters in and around the following communities:Canton, Edgewood, Wills Point, Purtis Creek State Park,Terrell. (Click here for a map). In the fall of 2014 meters will be installed in and around the Scurry and Mabank areas. The fifth and final phase of the project will begin in the spring of 2015.
November 11, 2013 – The fall deployment for phase three of our advanced metering project is now complete. We currently have over 43,000 advanced meters deployed throughout Anderson, Dallas, Henderson, Hunt, Kaufman and Van Zandt counties. Phase four of the project will begin in March of 2014 and include areas south and west of Canton, including Jackson, Whitton, Tundra and Phalba areas. Also included will be the area between Kaufman and Terrell and southeast of Terrell, as well as areas North and West of Canton including Myrtle Springs, Cedarvale, Hiram, south of Elmo, Wills Point and Edgewood. The fifth and final phase of the project will take place in 2015.

March 4, 2013 - TVEC is installing advanced meters to improve reliability, efficiency and service. Contract crews from Standard Utility Construction Inc. will begin installing meters today in and around the following communities in Kaufman County: Abner, Becker, Kaufman, Kemp, Rand, Ola and Oak Ridge. Crews will move to Henderson County around the end of March.
January 28, 2013 - Deployment of advanced meters will ramp back up in March. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we've made adjustments to the deployment schedule. Crews will begin installing meters near the following communities in Kaufman County: Abner, Becker, Kaufman, Kemp, Rand, Ola and Oak Ridge. Crews will move to Henderson County at the end of March in an area between Gun Barrel City, Caney City, Athens, Eustace and several miles east of Hwy 175 between Athens and Eustace. At the end of April crews will move to Van Zandt County and install meters south of Canton along Hwy 19 for about 8 miles. November 5, 2012 - On Monday November 5 Crews began deploying the last round of meters for phase 2 of TVEC’s Advanced Metering project. These meters are in the areas around Murchison, Brownsboro and south of Ben Wheeler(Click here for map).Crews should be finished in these areas by Thanksgiving. October 1, 2012 - Phase 2 of TVECs Advanced Metering Infrastructure is on track and Meter deployment crews will begin in the areas around Frankston, Brownsboro, Larue and Lake Palestine on October 1, 2012(Click here for map).
August 23, 2012 - Phase 2 of TVECs Advanced Metering Infrastructure project is slated to begin on Tuesday September 4, 2012. Meter deployment crews will begin in the areas south and west of Palestine (Click here for map). During the week of September 10, crews will move to northeastern Anderson and southeastern Henderson counties (Click here for map).
June 15, 2012 - Meter installation for phase 1 of TVEC's Advanced Metering Infrastructure project has been completed. Over 14,000 advanced meters were installed in a 15 week period that began on March 5, 2012. Phase 2 meter deployment will begin in September 2012 in Anderson county south and west of Palestine. Deployment will then move to eastern Anderson and Henderson counties and include TVEC members in and around the Frankston, Coffee City, Larue, New York, Leagueville, Moore Station, Chandler, Brownsboro and Murchison areas. May 30, 2012 - Crews are nearing completion of meter installations for phase 1 of the Advanced Metering project. Crews will be installing meters for TVEC members in the Wills Point, Alsa, Edgewood, and Lake Tawakoni areas(Click here for map) until roughly June 8.
May 1, 2012 - Crews will be completing work in the Talty area on Wednesday May 2. They will then begin changing meters north and south of the Crandall area (Click here for map). During the week of May 14 crews will move to the area northwest of Kaufman and southwest of Terrell(Click here for map). Communities will include Post Oak Bend, Lone Star and Rose Hill.
April 16, 2012 - Crews moved to the Montalba area in Anderson county on March 26. Installation in the Montalba area will be completed on April 18, at which time crews will move back to the Talty area(Click here for map). Crews will remain in the Talty area until approximately April 30. On or around May 1 crews will begin changing meters north and south of the Crandall area(Click here for map).
March 7, 2012 – Meter deployment began in the Combine area on March 1, 2012. Installers will be in the Combine area through the week of March 12. Crews will then begin working south of the Talty community towards highway 175 in and around the Gastonia community.
